Kathy and I were in Lowe's last night and saw a bunch of Nascar Christmas ornaments. Kasey Kahne. Jeff Gordon. Jimmie Johnson. Dale Earnhart. (But not Jr.)
However, I didn't see Tony Stewart anywhere and started wondering why. After all, he's a Columbus, IN, guy, which isn't so very far from Bedford. Then it dawned on me!
So I went to a Customer Service lady and she asked what she could do for me. I said I wanted to register a complaint. She asked what about, and I said that there were no Tony Stewart Christmas ornaments in the store. She looked at me and said, "You think you're funny, don't you?" She was laughing, so it wasn't like she was angry.
I said, "Well, after all, he's an Indiana boy and from a town just over the way."
"Yeah," she answered, "But I bet that Home Depot doesn't have Jimmie Johnson on their shelves!"

That's funny! We actually have trouble finding Tony Stewart stuff here at Target, Wal-mart, etc! I always thought it was because they sold out of it quickly! (Never looked for it at Lowe's before though!)
Parker does have a Tony Stewart car that we got in Ohio!

I don't know why Target wouldn't have Stewart stuff -- they're not in direct competition like Lowes and Home Depot, though I think there is a Target car in Nascar.
Yea, Tony isn't "known" for his Christ-like spirit is he??? :)
Well, obviously I don't know much about racing b/c I didn't get it at first :) That's one of few sports that Tony doesn't get into (and I'm glad b/c it makes me dizzy! lol!) Now football, basketball, baseball and even an occasional hockey game, I can enjoy thoroughly.
Too funny!! You know we just bought Clayton a Tony Stewart bicycle helmet at WAL-MART!!! Can you believe that? And you're right, I think there is a Target car somewhere...but I'm rootin' for Gordon all the way!!!
I would have been embarrassed! Good thing I wasn't there.
I was there and it didn't embarrass me since I knew it was a joke!
